A concise overview of Upstream BPO’s history, operating scale and corporate presence.
How the company was built
The company was built around operational delivery rather than a broad agency identity: documented workflows, defined ownership and reporting that clients can act on.

How we operate
01
Each workflow records its steps, approved actions, escalation path and the decisions that remain with the client.
02
Supervision, quality review and escalation ownership are named rather than assumed, on both the Upstream and client side.
03
Work is sampled against a client-agreed scorecard, and reviewers calibrate with client stakeholders so scoring stays aligned.
04
Volumes, ageing, backlog, exceptions and quality trends are reported on an agreed cadence, with recurring causes raised rather than absorbed.
Human and AI approach
01
Automation is applied per workflow where a client approves it, typically for triage, routing, summarisation and repetitive steps, with a documented human review point.
02
Sensitive, ambiguous, regulated or relationship-driven work stays with people. Upstream does not operate autonomous decision-making authority on a client's behalf.
Culture and values
These are operating expectations rather than slogans, and the published pages below set out the detail.
01
Quality is defined, sampled and reviewed rather than described as a value. Findings drive coaching and documentation changes.
02
Ownership is explicit, issues are raised early, and status is communicated plainly rather than managed around.
03
Training, calibration and knowledge maintenance are treated as ongoing operational work, not a one-off onboarding exercise.
04
Working conditions, conduct expectations and support for reviewers handling difficult content are set out in our published responsibility pages.
05
Automation is introduced where it genuinely helps, with human oversight retained and client approval required for scope changes.
